Double block and bleed (DBB) plugs are tools used to isolate and test pipeline sections. These pipe plugs feature two seals with a bleed port, allowing trapped pressure or leaks to be vented safely. This configuration enables maintenance, repair, and pressure testing without draining or depressurizing the entire system. DBB pipe plugs are essential in industries like oil and gas, petrochemical, and water utilities. Petersen Products offers high-pressure Multi-Flex® Isolation Double Block & Bleed Inflatable Plug 127BB series in 8" to 96" diameters and can handle maximum inflation pressures up to 120 psi. Depending on the application requirements, these plugs are available for most size, pressure, chemical and temperature requirements.
Petersen Multi-Flex® Isolation Double Block & Bleed Inflatable Plug is a revolutionary Dual Seal plug to allow a positive isolation of toxic or flammable product. The vent between the two seals allows the operator to monitor the seal integrity, vent any product that seeps past the first seal, or introduce an inert gas or water between the seals for a positive isolation. These Isolation Block and Bleed plugs are available for most size, pressure, chemical, and temperature requirements.
